Squeal! Purple. My favorite. Shimmer is usually a slight pet peeve of mine but this is a glittery shimmer and I looove it. I think it's my 2nd all time favorite polish, with Studio M's Purple Medallion being the first. Maybe I should do a "My favorite polishes" post eventually... It has a lot of gold undertones in it, and it also looks just as pretty on the nails as it does in the bottle. Damn shame Pure Ice hasn't updated their polishes in my local Walmarts, this was another gift from my awesome Secret Santa.
The only downside is that I did 2 coats, and with some of the pics I took you could see through my nails some what... could have used a 3rd. But that's my bad, in general you can't see through my nails unless it's in the pics.
I cut my nails down to nubbies. So the skin on the tips looks odd, sorry.
I just figured out what OPI polish this reminds me of! OPI - It's My Year has a similar coloring, only a lighter purple/pink.

My FA at a cloud mani
![]() |
| Base: China Glaze - Pelican Gray Edge of cloud: Sinful Colors - Gorgeous Black: Sinful Colors - ?? (name sticker peeled off!) Flakies on top of black: Nfu - #40 |
Like I said, this grew on me. But I went to bed with my nails like 90% dry, so I have a few smears and my nails have gotten much longer than they look--you get tip wear a heck of a lot faster which sucks. I think I did ok though. I wish some of the nails came out a little more round-ish, but no real complaints besides wishing I used different colors.

OPI - It's My Year swatch
Ehhh. I don't care for this too much on my nails. It looks gorgeous in photos though. It's still very pretty, but for some reason I just don't like looking at it in person.
Got this baby at Marshall's in a two pack for $8. :-) Along with a gold shatter I haven't used yet.
This is the longest my nails have ever been, pretty proud of myself. I may cut them soon though because I almost broke one.

Tokidoki Nail Confetti (SANdy) + Sephora by OPI's Caribbean Cocktail
I'm rather indifferent on the tokidoki confetti glitter. I don't love it, I don't hate it. Verging on liking it a lot, though. The only thing I really disliked was the fact I needed to file my nails down just a little due to the confetti sticking off the tips and becoming a little sharp after the top coat. That's probably my biggest complaint.
Seems to be various micro glitters in it, under the actual confetti glitter (I'm wanting to say it's pink micro glitter?). Which is mostly gold, with random blue and green ones as well. I decided to pair it with a matching blue shimmer Sephora color. Which I wish I had chosen a lighter color to see how well this confetti glitter showed up, but that may be for another post.
Application was nice, though even with a thick top coat the tops of my nails were just a LITTLE rough. Not bad enough to warrant a complaint, just mildly annoying.
Overall, the effect reminded me of ripped gold. It was almost elegant looking really. I like it, and I hope to get the rest of the Tokidoki polishes over time. (At $10 a pop at Sephora, this will be awhile.)
Also was fairly hard to photograph, the sun kept wanting to dull it down
a little bit. The blue was much brighter. I didn't seem to get a lot of
good pictures of it. They looked better on the camera.

Swatch: Indie polish: Lush Lacquer - Chubby Checker
I'm not a huge fan of sheer polishes, but this one is alright. The hexagon glitter is what originally caught my eye. Next time I'm going to use a white base coat for "underwear", as one of my pet peeves is being able to see the tips of my nails under polish. Call me weird. This is still a very beautiful pink shimmer polish with black and white large and small glitter mixed in with it. Several coats look really nice as well, while still being able to see first coat glitter underneath, ala "glitter sammich". Like all glitters, it was difficult to get the chunky fat pieces out onto the nail. Even after a lot of rolling the bottle in the palm of my hand. Still well worth the money and I'm happy I added it to my collection.
This was my first haul of indie polishes, I also got Camo Queen by Lush Lacquer as well. I hope to swatch that eventually, and I plan on buying LL's Salt 'N Pepper polish, too, when I get time and money for it.
ALSO, I forgot I had straight up vitamin e oil. Love it for cuticle care. I actually think it's better than my grapeseed oil. And I'm a HUGE advocate for grapeseed oil.

| "Outdoor" lighting. My cameras weren't wanting to focus in on this color of polish very well. |
